Rajasthan Congress Meeting: An important meeting of the Congress was held before the assembly elections in Rajasthan, in which Rahul Gandhi and President Mallikarjun Kharge were also present. This meeting was seen as an attempt to end the preparations for the Rajasthan elections and the tussle between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot. During this, Chief Minister Gehlot was present in the meeting through video conferencing. It was told that Rahul Gandhi also gave several suggestions to the Rajasthan CM in the meeting, one of which was a suggestion to rein in the bureaucracy. During this meeting, the work of the Gehlot government in Rajasthan was also praised. 

Talk of controlling bureaucracy
According to the report of India Today, before the Rajasthan assembly elections, all the big leaders of Congress discussed many issues including OBC reservation, aggressive campaigning, cancellation of tickets. During this, talks also took place between Rahul Gandhi and Ashok Gehlot. In which Rahul asked Gehlot not to let the bureaucracy dominate the major decisions of the state. Rahul asked Gehlot to control bureaucracy and give importance to party workers.

It has been told in the report that Rahul Gandhi told Gehlot that the opinion of party workers is not being taken in some schemes in Rajasthan. On the contrary, bureaucracy is being given priority. Workers should be put to work and a message should be given to them in the coming times. So that the party can contest with strength in the coming elections. 

Rahul-Kharge claimed victory
After this meeting, Congress leaders also claimed to form the government again in Rajasthan. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote on social media, ‘‘Held a meeting with Congress leaders of Rajasthan today under the leadership of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge ji. Congress will once again form the government in Rajasthan and will continue to work for the better future of the people."

Apart from Rahul, Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge also tweeted about the meeting. He wrote, ‘‘Public service, relief and upliftment of all, Rajasthan moving on the path of progress… The Congress party has taken the schemes of inclusive development and public welfare to every house in Rajasthan. The party will unite and go among the public in the upcoming elections.’’
